SAVE XANGA
Some of us who create things are giving a portion of our sales to help Xanga. I’ve been working on business stuff all day, and haven’t had a chance to connect with them further, but I’m going to write a quick blog about it before I relax in bed for the evening and then pass out.
I created a candle called Frontpage Worthy of Trolls (I can’t take credit for the name!!) and I’ve listed on my Etsy. 50% of the sale of this candle will be donated to saving Xanga, as well as 10% of all OTHER orders. I’ve raised the price for this one candle from $5 to $6, simply so that I don’t lose any money on the sale, and also to help Xanga more. All other candles and products will remain the same price, it’s important to note. I am exhausted, lack of sleep the entire weekend, but I’m totally not complaining, I had a very fun time….because I met my FOURTH Xangan!!!!! See, we can’t let this place die!!! It’s too important!! Going to relax and pass out now…please rec and share on your FB to spread the word

Awesome! I am so broke now being my wedding is three months away but I am hoping to be able to buy some things to help with this campaign. It is awesome of you and the others to do this! I hope xanga can be saved. I posted a blog about my time on xanga a few minutes ago.

I’ll write a post shortly about the Etsy Team thingy for our fundraising. I’ve got like 20 post-tabs in my browser and I’m so “omfgwtf is all this craziness” haha

lovely idea. I hope you and others with etsy shops get many people visiting and buying things; helping you and Xanga, while at the same time getting something nice for themselves.
Meeting people in person who you first met online is cool! I wish there was one somewhere in my area announced (South-Eastern US) so that we could meet several of the people that we have been reading/talking to online.
Just a question, how does one ship candles and have them not melt when ordered from a place like Florida where we already have temps in the mid 80′s? I’d hate to get home from work, check my mailbox, get excited at seeing a box and then opening it to find it melted already.
@Crystalinne - I’ve never encountered that happening, and I was told that doesn’t happen when I asked. If that does happen, I would just ask that a photo be sent of the deformed product, and issue a reimbursement for the damaged goods
