Getting the Grade
I know I haven’t been around Xanga lately…
But anyway, I wanted to talk about getting good grades. What’s your personal goal? I’ve taken 2 exams and 1 quiz so far (in human origins, we take short quizzes instead of exams). For the 2 exams, I’ve gotten 46/50 and 32/35. For the quiz, I got 14/15. That may seem great to some people, but for me that doesn’t seem good enough. Am I trying to push myself beyond my means? I know it’s not realistic, but what I want is nothing less than perfect. I would have liked to ace those tests. It’s possible, just not probable.
Nonetheless, those results are all A’s. But to me, that’s just not good enough. Am I being completely delusional? I would like to ace at least one. Our next psychology exam is a take-home exam, so maybe that’s my chance to get 100%. Not saying that I won’t study for it just because I can take it home and use my book, but I will definitely study my ass off for it.
Anyway, what kinds of grades and test scores are you satisfied with?

Those are great results :3
Those actually sound pretty good. Nice job!
I know what it feels like to want to push yourself harder, though. A lot of people were like that in my freshman engineering classes and our professor told us that as we got into harder material, we would drift away from those kinds of expectations. Essentially, we would have to figure out which classes we could take a hit in just in order to pass everything.
I still remember getting a 52% on a test and being told I was on the right track, given my priorities. I thought I was going to get kicked out of the program.
If you try to always be perfect, you will fail. It just isn’t realistic.
Those grades are really good.
For getting back into school, those are pretty great grades! Congratulations! ^.^
as and bs are nice. Get that take home test!
congrats
Good job girl! I used to be a straight-A honors and AP student in high school, and now in college, I find myself always thinking my grades aren’t good enough. I’m not used to my GPA being this low. My friends keep saying that it’s good, but it falls below my standards. Although it’s above 3.00, it’s not a 3.50 at the least, and now I’m trying to work my ass off so I can have a GPA that I’m pleased with.
Passing grades lol
@xdeelynnx - Thank you
@democrab - Wow, that’s intense. I wonder how it’s going to be once I get into upper level credits in whatever I decide to study. I’m sure it’ll get harder.
@TakingxOverxMe - I know it’s unrealistic, and I don’t know why my mind creates those standards. I feel happy but a bit disappointed when I see my test scores.
@Cestovatelka - Thank you
@Thatslifekid - I know, I get it in a couple of weeks, I think.
@godfatherofgreenbay - Thank you
@passionate_kisses579 - From the classes I took in tech school, my GPA is 2.93. I think that I want to re-take one of the classes I got a D in to improve my GPA… I will have to see if I can even do that.
@KnightInCROATIANarmor - lol!!
