  • Hours and Hours. And Hours.

You know how sometimes time passes so slowly and you’re so bored you wish you had a shotgun so you can paint the walls with your brains?

That’s how it feels when I’m not talking to my boyfriend. Well, I don’t want to shoot myself in the head, obviously, but I just don’t know what to do with myself. I have things that I need to do, or should do, but I don’t want to do them. I feel like I watch time like a hawk until I talk to him again. I constantly know what time it is. Minutes are so long, aren’t they? When you look at the clock multiple times, but it still says the same time? It’s like a bad dream that won’t go away, one where you’re stuck in a time paradox.

You know how sometimes time passes so quickly you literally have no idea where it went?

That’s how it feels when I talk to Nick. I can easily let 2 hours pass by without knowing. I hardly ever look at the time when I’m talking to him. 10 hours slip by, and it feels like an hour. Before I know it, it’s 3:30 in the morning and I’m only starting to feel tired, when we started talking at 6. It’s then that I wish time would slow down, because it’s going too fast. I could talk to him for another 10 hours, if only I wasn’t so tired. Have you ever felt like you could talk to someone for forever? I feel that way with him.

  • Yes, I fell the same way about my girlfriend.

  • It’s been so long since I talked on the phone. But I used to be a great chatter. Used to get a sore throat. Now it’s sore because I don’t use it enough. Hehe.

  • Yes. I have.

  • @bloodbreath - We don’t talk on the phone much, actually. We talk on FB messenger :D

  • On the phone? No way. I have an “almost phobia” of phone conversations. On my cell I use less than 200 minutes a year and those are mostly text. I have a few people I can hang out with and talk to for hours on end though and even one or two I could message with forever and it never get boring.

  • @crazy2love - Now, creaky fingers, I definitely have.

  • I use to have someone I felt that way about…

  • I’m not much of a talker so I’ve never felt like that with any one lol.

  • Definitely know how that is.

When my boyfriend and I will simply lay in bed together and cuddle, HOURS will pass and it will feel like mere minutes.  It blows my mind sometimes.

  • That is very romantic, but don’t be making paintings anytime soon.

  • Talking is fun, thats how we get to know people, to create relationships.

  • Thanks! What are you studying for?

I could talk for hours with one person I knew and it seemed like time stood still. We don’t talk anymore, but I still remember the feeling.

  • Yes, I have a few people in my life that are like that!

And what is it about time? Seems that when I am at home, or not working time flies! I like to say that time flies when you’re doing nothing much.

  • Yep. I feel the same way with my boyfriend.

  • Heh! You fell deep in love, grrrl! Congrats.

  • Oh man. Happens to me all the time. I can talk for hours and hours will go by and I won’t even notice. If I don’t get an answer back to a text I sent, many times I don’t wanna do anything except just sit or lay there waiting for an answer to finally come. I have sooo many urgent pending tasks to do and time is a’wasting, but I don’t care; I can’t move until I get that reply.

Obsessed much? I really do need to get a grip and get other things done as I wait or just put it in the back of my mind.

  • Well, I’m certainly glad you don’t plan to paint your walls with your brain…. I doubt your boyfriend would find the whole holy head thing attractive…. but people have different tastes. ;)
