Paper Heart
So, I just watched Paper Heart, a documentary about love. This young woman goes around the country, interviewing people about the love they’ve experienced. She ends up meeting Michael Cera, and the movie kind of takes a turn and follows them as their relationship develops. I thought it was pretty good.
Anyway, I was wondering if you guys could do something for me. In a comment or a post (I think it would be easier in a post), answer the following questions: Have you ever been in love? How did you know it was love? How did it make you feel? What were your thoughts? Describe the moment you realized you were in love. If you would like to, you can write further about whether or not it worked out and what happened, but I don’t want to ask that of you if you don’t want to share your heartbreak.
I am a romantic at heart, and I’m really interested in seeing everyone’s responses. If you write a post, make sure and tag me so I can read it!

Oh, this sounds like an interesting writing prompt. I’ll probably write about it tomorrow
That is a good writing prompt…hmmm I’ll have to think on it.
Oh I’ve never been in love, sorry..
Never been in love…romantically. I so want to see how people respond to this. *waits eagerly*
Hmm. Yep, I think this might be a post for tomorrow, if I have the time!
Love is Life but life is not love:)
I’ve been in intense lust, but love has not slid my way yet. Nothing has ever had the chance to develop into love. Shrug.
@godfatherofgreenbay - same here…
This is a good idea. I’ll post later
i knew it was love… well, pretty much as soon as we kissed. we had a spectacular first kiss, unplanned, in a mall parking lot (yeh real romantic lol)…but once it happened was like, the world disappeared. we were pretty much best friends for about 5 years and my feelings had just kept getting stronger and stronger until that point. it wasn’t a big bang, a random bolt of lighting from the sky or anything; just a deep, warm, strong, lasting feeling. you know?
the full feeling of being in love was reinforced a month later when i tried to say it out loud but was literally too terrified to say anything at all. like i think he was afraid i was hiding something from him or something. haha. eventually he told me first and the words were unlocked from my mouth.
that was about 2 years ago in june. he’s still amazing.
@Insomnia_Pickles_XtraTomato - That’s so sweet! I loved reading your story. Did you have romantic feelings for him for a good part of those 5 years? Or any part of those 5 years?
@crazy2love - well, i think i did but i kept telling myself i didn’t, because he had a girlfriend… who hated me, and i did not want to interfere with that. especially if he was really happy with her. we HAD gone to prom together, way back when, but.. that was still the “platonic” stage. although, idk. maybe that’s where it started? it’s actually kind of hard to say lol. i think we probably always liked each other a little, but were too shy, or afraid of ruining things to pursue.
@Insomnia_Pickles_XtraTomato - I feel like you then, 7 years ago, lol! I’m going through that right now…the guy I’ve fallen for has a girlfriend. I don’t want to say anything for pretty much the same reasons.
ima doing this.
