Common Courtesy Is Dead [97]
I’m kind of sick of it. This is Minnesota Nice, for Christ’s sake! Where is courtesy these days??
You go shopping, people are rude and selfish.
The cashiers are assholes and bitches.
You might as well talk to a brick wall if you talk to customer service.
When you are driving, people are even more rude.
No one lets the older folks go first because everyone is in too much of a hurry.
No one helps someone who is struggling with something.
No one helps you when you fall.
When I get home at the end of the day, I end being pissed off because people are such assholes.
In other news, the reason I haven’t been around lately is because I bought True Blood for $17 at Target, and I’m obsessed!! I think I have 5 episodes left to watch =]
I fell in love with the theme song, I think it’s sexy and hot and amazing!!
Also, I haven’t been keeping up on my other xanga =[

eww decomposing fox and venus fly trap eating a frog O_O
I dated a guy from Minnesota and pretty much ended our relationship because he wasn’t even the slightest of a gentlemen. Even tho he claimed he was….
If you want to be around the nicest people you will ever meet. Move to Hawaii. Everyone is family. There is no sir or mam. It’s Auntie or uncle. If there’s a party at the beach, even if you don’t know anyone, you’re invited. Nice families pick you up when you’re hitchhiking. People stop to help you with your car if it breaks down. People open doors and compliment you.
It’s the best place to live if you want to be near happy people.
Just don’t piss any locals off or they will kill you.
hahaha
:]
I have yet to watch True Blood, because I thought it was just another show created to ride the coat tails of the whole Twilight craze. I live in the South and I find that people are rather nice here.
Haven’t watched True Blood before–and probably won’t since I have no dinero nor a TV nor a computer of my own….waaah.
And you are right, people have lost their mannars and courtesy. It is shameful.
hay! a vampire girl!
@notjus4ne1 - Ohhh no! It’s such a good show! This was created from a different set of books, and let me tell you, it is no Twilight! There’s a lot of sex and blood, and it’s great! It shows a little more what vampires would really be like, if you’re into that kind of thing. It’s no teen show, lemme tell ya! lol
@ghostsoftheshell - Hell yes!! =]
@QueenOfOreos - Aww =[ It really is a great show =]
@GiantUnicorn - Really? I’ve never been to Hawaii =[ I will someday, lol
You have another site?
@TheTheologiansCafe - Yeah. I made it so I could focus on my writing, the creative side of writing. i_am_a_writer
I concur. Come to Canada. We are slightly nicer. No promises though.
ppl are jerks. this is true. I love target. I bought season 1 of arrested development and I need seasons 2 and 3.
From my experience, Minnesotans are jerks. And, people in Wisconsin are super rude too. The northern midwest is full of buttholes.
You see whatever you’re looking for in terms of good and bad. If the expectation is for people to be assholes, that’ll be what you spot, likewise with anticipating kindness. Attitude is a powerful thing, use it wisely.
@GiantUnicorn - It sounds like an amazing place to be at.
@paranoidwildflower - I visited Canada in my early teens and the experience is one I will keep forever. Yes! The people were very polite and kind; not to mention very clean compared to Detroit where I lived at the time.
You are right! There are no manners or politeness to be found but in a rare few. I live in Philadelphia and “Brotherly Love” is the last thing anyone experiences.
There is still some kindness left here in my part of Cali… I can’t speak for the whole state, though. If anything I just smile at people. It’ll either warm their hearts or piss them off; either way I win. hahaha
I don’t know what to think of Minnesota Nice. People are usually polite and helpful to me, though not usually during the holidays
I guess it all just depends…
I couldn’t agree with this blog more!
Your other Xanga? How many Xanga you have?
The same things happened here in Malaysia, people always in the rush, and they’re harsh and rude when they didn’t get what they want.
@RestlessButterfly - I have 5 I think. Only 2 are active, the other ones are super old! My new one is i-am-a-writer.xanga.com. It’s a site for my creative writing =]
Common courtesy has been on its way out for quite some time unfortunately. You can’t let it get to you.
OMG TRUE BLOOD<3
Listening to the theme song makes me want to watch the show sooo bad. It’s making me antsy waiting for the next season!
