  • People Are Ugly [104]

    Not physically. Inside.

    All of my life, people have mistreated me, betrayed me, walked all over me. I have been hurt most by people close to me.

    You say everyone is beautiful on the inside?

    Well, I’m taking a stand. I’m saying, NO, NOT everyone is beautiful on the inside.

    There are people so UGLY on the inside it makes my stomach turn. Most specifically, my mother. She makes me sick. I want so badly to tell her to face that I do not love her. That she’s an awful human being. If only you knew the terrible things she’s said to me and my sisters. When my youngest sister was 12 and 13, my mother went on and on about how fat she was (which, she was a little overweight, but NOT fat). So my sister became anorexic and bulimic. But I can’t say those things. My youngest sister, who is now 15, still lives there and she would be devastated if I didn’t visit her anymore.

    Everyone has an ugly side. I’ve seen it in everyone I’ve ever met. I have an ugly side. You do too.

    It just depends on how much of that ugliness has taken over your insides.

  • Everyone does have an ugly part to their nature,true! I fight it all the time. Impatience,irritability, jealousy, greed, anger. I hope that as I struggle to overcome it that I keep a little ahead of it as I go.We all say unkind things ,this is where I hope others remember the nice things I have said. it is also a good reminder to say encouragiing things,so that is what others remember the most.

  • hm.  you’re right.  everyone’s got things about them that aren’t beautiful, at all.

  • Agreed. It’s not hard for me to find someone’s ugly side. I try to avoid the people that I think are the ugliest on the inside, but coincidentally, they happen to be my family members. I can’t get rid of them, no matter how much I might want to.

    My ugly side’s pretty bad, but it doesn’t show that often, if at all, so people who are blissfully unaware can stay just that.

  • Anne Frank was wrong about people having a good heart.

  • I agree, its how you control your ugliness that makes you a good person…I wish some of those people that hurt me the worst and that are still hurting me would realize it.

  • Painfully true. It’s there in all of us, it’s all about controlling that nasty parts of ourselves.

  • @seedsower - I know what you’re saying. I’ve had to try very hard to overcome.

    @TheBigShowAtUD - Yep, most definitely.

    @Queen_of_You188 - I’m the exact same way.
    @rainbowbrite2200 - I hear ya sister!

  • @crazy2love - it seems we are the same. Maybe…MAYBE WE’RE THE SAME PERSON!! =O

  • What if she has the potentional to be a good human being, but her own flaws are getting in the way of that?

  • @Queen_of_You188 - haha :P

    @mellifluousnothings - Who, my mother? No. My mother has no potential. She’s been on a downhill road for years and years. It’s sad, but it’s the brutal truth. Maybe she had that opportunity long ago, but I believe it’s gone now. =[

  • @crazy2love - I don’t know…we are sounding a bit similar… o.o

  • There’s always two sided of everything including us human.  Some of us we managed to overcome ugliness and let our prettiness and glowing and blossom, some of us let the ugliness control our life.

  • My mother is THE most ugliest person I have ever met. She is the most selfish person I’ve ever met and once I told her that, in retaliation of her calling me selfish, she then said I needed therapy and that I was sick in the head. I wish I could tell my mother the things you want to tell yours.

    Every person does have an ugly side, it just depends who & how you show it.

  • LOL I never said everyone is beautiful on the inside!

  • Those words are so true

  • We all have ugly sides, and that’s.. unfortunate.

    Some of us can shine pretty damn bright sometimes, though.

  • How do we stop that ugly part form taking over?

  • I agree. I wish there were things I could say to my mother too. She’s the main reason for my depression but she would never believe that.

  • I agree with you. Everyone does have an ugly part inside of them. Some more than others. Sometimes it’s even hard to see past the ugly side enough to find the beautiful side. Although, I’m the type of person who tries to see the best in people and not the bad, whether that good side is even shown or not.

  • I wish I could say things to my grandmother, too… but then my grandfather might not like me much anymore.

  • Everyone has an ugly side, but it brings out one’s inner beauty to see through other’s shortcomings (whenever possible)

  • this world is going to burn in hell…

  • I agree that we all have an ugly side. Some people do seem to let it consume them so that ugly is all that’s left. I also think that most people have good inside too. Some let more of the good out and others let more of the bad out. I have only met a handful of people who I could find nothing good in. My father is one of the bad ones through and through. Other than an occasional e-mail he’s out of my life now. I’m so sorry that it’s the same way with your mom. It’s very sweet of you to hang in there for your sister.

  • I think you meant, “fugly side,” eh?  Kidding!

    This post is so true, and I cannot say enough that I am sorry for what you have been forced to endure.  No one deserves that shit.  No one.

    While I believe most all people have the potential (for those who are fugly) to have a total makeover on the inside and be decent people, it saddens me to admit that so many never go through such a transformation, and remain the sad, pathetic people that they are.  I feel sorry for them, to an extent, but even more so, I just want to avoid them like the black death and keep them out of my life.  Many people are like diseases, and if you have too much of them, you become sick.  It sounds like your mother is one such person.

    I would love to say she will regret her shit one day, but you know, I cannot say that with certainty.  She sounds oblivious beyond belief, and who knows if she will ever come to her senses?  I hope she does, for her sake, but most of all, for the sake of you and your siblings. You need a heartfelt apology and the royal treatment, for once.

    Chica, you hang in there with every ounce of strength you can muster up!  If you don’t, well, I might have to kill you, you know?    I think, NO, I know you’re a super cool person who deserves the best.  Sure, we all have an ugly side, but that is normal.  The wonderful thing is, it’s only a side, and not the whole of us.  I certainly have mine, and at one time in my life, it was a very scary one.  The important thing is, we move forward.  We improve upon ourselves.  We rock it the fuck out!  You will.  I will, and one day, we will take pleasure in the fact that those who were so fugly could not hold us back or cause us to fail.

    It’s going to be a rock’n day!

    Muuahhh!  ((hugs))

  • That ugliness can be strength, on occasion. No one is ugly for the sake of being ugly on the inside.

  • Of course everyone has an ugly side. The world isn’t exactly divided as good and evil but I tend to see the good in everyone. eh..

  • So very true. Well said.

  • There is two sides to every person and we choose to show whatever side the most.I wish more people would choose the pretty side more.

  • haha, how optimistic.

    But I agree, and I appreciate this post because I think it’s important for people to be honest and to recognize that ugliness and not look past it, or ignore it, or deny it.

    I think; I should try to shrink the ugly side of me down, and battle it whenever I feel it coming up like bile in my throat, in my actions. It’s there like sickness and hunger are in the world, and it will always be there, and the best we can do is just fight it until it’s small and weak and barely living inside of us.

  • Not everybody is beautiful on the inside. Some people have very, very ugly insides which pours out of their pores and makes them ugly on the outside also.

  • @RestlessButterfly - Agreed.

    @GiantUnicorn - It’s strange and sad that so many people I know say their mother’s are awful or terrible or something like that =[

    @And_I_love - =]

    @godfatherofgreenbay - Yes, unfortunately.

    @SimplyNita - I don’t think my mother would believe me either.

    @DarkDestiny666 - I try and see the good in people too, but sometimes it’s pretty hard =[

    @imTHEmeowMIXcat - I generally tend to agree with you.

    @tsh44 - As sad as it is, I can’t wait until my mother is out of my life =[

  • @Nitzchiya - You are so sweet. And I agree with everything you said!!

  • Your sister is lucky to have you.

  • You are so right. Everyone has good and bad inside of them. The path you choose to follow is the person you truly are.

  • So very true that we all have an ugly side. I try really hard not to let mine get the better of me, but sometimes it does win out (especially around the holidays). I’m sorry about the problems you’ve had with your mother. It really sucks that she’s treated you and your sisters like that.

  • @DiaryOfAPsychopath - Thank you.

    @QueenOfOreos - I hear ya there.

    @Lovebipolar117 - I try to do that too. It’s been a hard battle.

    @Manstration - Exactly hun, exactly.

    @TheRiverIsEverywhere - Aww thanks =]

    @Pink_TeaCups - Yep.

    @CrazyIrishWench - Sometimes it does win. But the next day, I try not to let it define who I am.

  • No one is entitled to your love, so don’t feel guilty about not loving your mom…im glad you are sticking it out for your poor lil sis. =]

  • I think everybody has a part of them thats beautiful but sometimes it has a hard time showing…or maybe that they dont let it show, they give into their ugly side…

  • Wow…. this is really true. I’ve got a really ugly side, I’ve just stopped myself from getting consumed by it…. but if people really embrace that… they’re total goners. Serious props for this, rock on!

  • Everyone has an ugly side. I completely agree. Some ppl just don’t have a good enough nature to counteract it. :-/ I try to not let my ugly side come through.

  • @seedsower - ditto. You said it best.

  • everyone does have an ugly side
    but I feel like most people do mean good
    deep.deep. down.
    and don’t know how to express themselves

  • Very ture and I live in a town that many people let their ugly take over. I try to better myself but im not perfect. but im getting better on being a better person.

    May God be with us all and help us find the better in oursleves..

  • I completely agree! I am most definitely not a people person because human nature is such an ugly, ugly beast. In my opinion, good people are rare and very hard to find!

  • I’m so sorry.  It’s part of human nature that we all have an ugly side.

    @imTHEmeowMIXcat - agreed

  • There is no doubt that Breitling Watches have become the hottest cloth in 2009 clothing market. From the tattoos, the well known designer, Christian Audigier, puts them into the shirts. Of course, his close association with the entertainment community really opened the doors to the many labels he has designed for. So it has become quite understandable how the Breitling Aeromarine look caught on with celebrities. Obviously, all of these would not be possible without his ingenuity and initiative both in design and marketing. Not to mention his intense capability to create a desire for his style in the marketplace. Bentley 6.75 come in polo shirt style.

    A region free DESIGNING WOMEN is one, in which the manufacturer has not used the region based lock system. Ordinarily, the video game DVDs are always made free from region locking, because they are used universally. But other types of DESIGNING WOMEN DVD , especially movie DVDs, have the regional locks, which mean that DESIGNING WOMEN DVD COLLECTION of a particular zone will not be play in another zone.
