What Slightly Annoys Me About Xanga
So, Saturday night around here was pretty entertaining and amusing. It’s entertaining and amusing WHILE it’s happening. 2 controversies and drama in one night where everyone’s all riled up…sounds like a good time to me. C’mon…admit that you were entertained by it all…
But NOT for days afterward.
Please don’t write a post saying “I missed it! What happened?!?!?!” If you want to know what happened, GO READ THE POSTS PEOPLE. Everyone else gets kind of sick of re-counting the events and talking about it. Well, I know I do.
It’s also slightly annoying when people write response posts after the fact. But, everyone has an opinion, so I can’t bitch too much about that one. Really though, there’s only so many posts you can reply to and say “I so agree with you!” or “I disagree because….”
I’m just saying.

hmmmmm. let me think about that one )
i was highly entertained. not by what was done, originally, but with much of the commentary afterward. you’re right about the people late to the party, though. the moment’s over. perhaps people should start saying “you had to be there.”
indeed.
I agree…though I was one of them
lol oh well….I don’t normally write response posts… I was trying to be funny with a serious note in it. *shrugs* But I do agree it does get tiring when people keep going on and on and on about it…
Maaaan. Why do you guys have all the fun when I’m away? Lol.
Now I gotta search through to see what I missed. Haha.
Jerks. JK! <3
I agreeeeeeeee. It is lame when people go ahh I missed it what happened. Go find out and stop asking geesh.
Good post.
i personally do not like drama but i agree that endlessly talking about something gets old and tiring. so many times i do not comment on blogs precisely because i have already said what i wanted in another and there are only so many ways you can say your opinion. i agree with you. good vent
::shrugs::
People look for what’s new and different. Sometimes it’s drama.
Do what you can do avoid it, I s’pose.
I was entertained, but it just got boring after seeing EVERYONE posting/pulsing the same thing.
Well, that’s part of the issue with this being a community of bloggers rather than a message board. There’s a ripple effect through which people communicate their opinions not only in direct response to the entries of origination (where the drama starts) but also to their own private pool of subscribers and friends via their own entry. I’d almost rather it be a message board… however, people don’t find such creative ways of pissing each other off in that environment.
Drama isn’t worth the excitement…I can see why some people like the drama, because it’s better than nothing, but I’ve had enough drama in my life to last me for awhile. It’s emotionally exhausting. I agree–help yourselves to review the drama, but I’ll pass.
Pah pah pah and clammy hands, pah pah pah pah pahhhhh,
Pah PAH pah pahh and clammy hands, pah pah pah pah pahhhh,
With a pahhpahh here and a pahhpahh there
Pah-pah-pah, pah-pah-pah, everywhere a pah pah
Pahh pahh pahh and clammy hands pah PAHHH pahh PAHHH pahhh PAAAAHHHHHHH!
I still think all parties involved need to get laid
@godfatherofgreenbay - Agreed!
@forwhomthebelsentolls - What.
i so agree with you.
It just is bad when your unibox is filled with Rape/AntiRape Fantasy arguments and Cutter responses… not that I mind people have their opinion.. but damn, i do desire variety in my unibox lol
i sure hope everyone was gone during my recent faux pas.
“I agree with you because….” you are RIGHT.
@godfatherofgreenbay - Yes! And then everyone will be happy.
Agreed. Controversial discussion on Xanga never seems to amount to anything other than two armies of fanatics rephrasing the same sentence at each other louder and louder.
I’ve never seen a Xanga argument end with a resolution, or even two people simply agreeing to disagree.
@godfatherofgreenbay - I love how you think.
100% agree. Thank you!
The problem is no one ever actually tells us where we can FIND said drama so we HAVE to ask.
….I guess I missed it? Haha.
we should all just go hug kittens….
@BohemianLamb - Haha, I suppose that is true! Sorry!
Dear Crystal,
If someone is blogging about a post, they should link to it. If someone is blogging about a comment to a post, they should link to it. That makes it simple.
Nobody should ever “assume” anything. And no blogger on Xanga or anywhere should write about anything without linking to the entry to which they are referring.

@BohemianLamb - Just “round up the usual suspects.” TheTheologiansCafe, DearRicky and Paul_Partisan are usually all good places to start. Or check Top Blogs and see if there is a recurring theme.
@TheBigShowAtUD - Haha! All the CRAZY people stay home on Tuesday night and we ALL saw it! lolol
@saintvi - Thanks.. LOL. You sound like a pro! o.O
yeah, apparently. geez. i’m thankful for the many people who don’t receive messages. WHEW.
I am just glad I was able to avoid it.
@TheTheologiansCafe - Me too. Crisis averted.
I think I missed it. No big deal though.
@crazy2love - You have to sing it to the tune of “Old MacDonald Had A Farm” and then it begins to make sense. Well, as much sense as it will ever make. About 25 or 30 years ago my sister wrote a letter to me when I was overseas and she made fun of Cousin Esther (my father and my aunt had a fight over the floral arrangements on my grandmother’s gravesite and were not speaking to each other while we kids were growing up so we didn’t really know those cousins)…she wrote that Esther was kind of pah pah pah and clammy hands, that phrase sticks in my mind, my sister actually imitated her exboyfriend’s sister at around the same time and that was where I learned to make hui d’deeing noises. Hui dee dee dee hui DEEEEE deee!
