Where The Hell Are All My Socks?!
Seriously. I used to have a whole crap load of socks, but now they seem to have been disappearing. WHERE THE HELL DO THE SOCKS GO?!?!
I think this is a conspiracy on behalf of the socks. I look under the bed, I find a couple. But not nearly as many as I’m missing. They didn’t fall on the way to the laundry room. They aren’t hiding in the closet. They aren’t straggling in the sock drawer. Really. OMG.
THE WASHING MACHINE HAS EATEN ALL MY SOCKS!!!

My socks disappear too. But that is because my ferrets take them and hide them. Damn rats
Lol..it was hungry. The poor thing had to resort to eating your socks. Sorry you are without them..but at least you won’t have an angry washin’ machine.
The oddest thing happened –I found a random extra sock in my laundry. Perhaps the socks from your machine are hopping some kind of space/time portal and ending up in mine?
They do tend to disappear easily, though not as much now that I do my own laundry. Somehow, they always disappeared back when my mom did the laundry for me.
Sucks right? And it’s always just one of the socks of a pair. Ahhh
it’s a conspiracy, the dryer actually creates a vortex, and they get sucked right into a black hole in the universe. My ex-wife did her
Ph. D. thesis on that. And well she should, given the rate at which my socks disappeared.
I think the dryer eats them but what I do to prevent them from disappearing like that is take a safety pin and pin a pair together. Maybe it is just that I have big feet and eating both socks is too much for the dryer but I haven’t lost any in a long time.
Lol omg i knowwww …i’ve gotten to the point where i think of them as “disposable” lol …cause i know they’re only gonna be around for a little while anyway ;D
Oh my god -.- My two favorite pairs? They’re no longer pairs. And the other socks that belong in those “pairs” are no where to be found! I feel your pain. :[

@RogierFvV - Actually, I remember my dad saying something about that when I was younger…the dryer was always breaking because of it!

I think it’s gremlins. Or gremlins IN the dryer – now THAT’D be a nasty combination.
They probably got turned into sock puppet monkeys or rabbits!

I’ve thought long and hard about this, and have only come up with one solution. Socks are secretly alive. After they’ve spent the day on our sweaty feet, a group of them will run away never to be seen again. I bet they laugh about it, too. ”Hahaha, let’s mess with this bitch and hide.”
I was looking at a washing machine today and realized that stuff can get stuck under the center piece. Also, have you checked behind said washer and dryer?
I think it does not matter how many socks i have had in my life time they end up disapearing and misterusly have holes in them for no reason………..its frustrating I do believe someone is taking them just to play a cruel fucking joke on all of us!
