Believe?
This is a blog I’ve been meaning to do for awhile…
So, in my opinion, I think aliens definitely do exist. If you think about it, it’s actually quite ridiculous to think that Earth is the only planet in the entire universe with life forms on it. Do you have any idea how massively HUGE outer space is?? You can’t even adequately describe it using words, that’s how much outer space is out there.
As far as aliens contacting us and UFO’s, I honestly don’t know. I suppose it’s plausible, but I’m not all Area 51 about it.
Anyway, for your viewing pleasure, I’ve gathered some photos of some alien movies. There have been many different ideas from Hollywood regarding what aliens look like, so I will share some of them with you all. (These are in no particular order, mind you)
This alien is from Independence Day, with Will Smith. This is from 1996, when it was thought this was actually a hard shell that encompassed the alien, with its softer insides pretending to be unconscious so he could attack scientists in the lab.
These two aliens are from Men in Black (1997), also with Will Smith. The first alien was hiding the galaxy in his cat’s collar, damn near impossible to guess, unless you’re Will Smith, of course…or, more secretly known as Agent J. This alien is actually a tiny creature in a short, bald man’s head. In the second photo, the infamous Agent J helps an alien give birth. The alien looks like a woman, but gives birth to a cute squid who doesn’t like Agent J, because the infant subsequently throws up on his face.
We can see that Will Smith also believes in aliens because he has starred in many movies starring them. (Men in Black II [2002] not shown here.)
This is the alien from AVP (2004) (and also AVP: Requiem, 2008). This alien is seemingly made out of some kind of metal. I don’t know what that’s all about. I wonder what their planet is made out of.
These aliens from Battlefield Earth (2000) are very ugly. They kind of look like humans, except they are…ugly. Apparently aliens have nasty, unwashed hair that looks kind of dreadlocked. And weird red faces. I think they get angry a lot.
This is The Blob. (The re-make from 1988). Hollywood thinks aliens are made out of bubble gum placenta-like stuff. Now I know how babies feel.
This is one of the aliens from The Fifth Element (1997), The Diva. She has stones in her stomach, and she bleeds blue goo. She appears to be made of plastic. (I actually really love her part in the movie, the opera is fantastic)
This is another alien from The Fifth Element. Hopefully you can tell which one it is. If you need help, he’s the one with sad eyes.
Ruby Rhod isn’t actually an alien (….or is he?). I just think this still is hilarious. And the man behind him thinks he is SEXI.
Killer Klowns from Outer Space, 1988. Freaky lookin’ fuckers, aren’t they? These aliens wrapped people up in cotton candy coccoons then drank their blood from straws. No wonder kids don’t like clowns.This is from Spaceballs, circa 1987. Barf is half dog, an interesting mix. Apparently in the future we have some cross-breeding going on. Below is Pizza the Hutt. I had no idea aliens are made out of pizze. I wouldn’t eat that one though.
This is Stitch, from Lilo and Stitch, 2002. He is also known as experiment #626. He came from outer space, but he was surrounded by humans up there. Is he really an alien? We will never know.
What kind of list about aliens would this be without Transformers? (2007) I think it would be pretty sweet if aliens were like robots that could change into a car or other vehicle. Just as long as they don’t destroy cities and such.
And last, but certainly not least (because it’s my favorite), The Rocky Horror Picture Show, 1975. The sexy transexuals from Transexual, Transylvania. Can’t deny the lips, baby. I wonder if Tim Curry regrets dressing up in corsets and fishnets.

It always amazes me that aliens have to look so different from us. Great pics though!
I agree with Maxxi2031. I dont get why they look like some ugly creetures. Maybe they look similar to us with something a bit different. *shrugs* Independence Day is my favorite.
crap i love the fifth element.
i really liked the way the made the diva look, and i agree, her opera was excellent.
lol i just realized i didn’t contribute to this blog at all. xD
oh well. (:
I think the universe is so large that it is hard to say there is absolutely nothing else out there. The funny thing with Battlefield Earth is that according to a religion is what is going to happen to Earth in the year 3000. Originally it was written as a piece of fiction by the founder of the religion but it has been adopted as one of their “holy” texts.
Great post! I love Spaceballs and Lilo & Stitch.
I do believe in aliens too, although I don’t really talk about because aliens creep me out. Well, most aliens creep me out, but Stitch doesn’t because he’s awesome
I’m something of an open-minded-skeptic. I think it’s likely there’s life on other planets, and while I don’t believe they come to Earth, I kinda hope they do. Y’know, for like tourism, not freaky human experimentation.
Where’s Superman?? He’s an alien too =P
@maxxi2031 - @sweetlovinlife - I would actually be more freaked out if they DID look like us, lol. If they were evil, we’d never know who the bad guys are.
@ghostcomplex - I love The Fifth Element too. It’s cheesy, but I don’t care
@godfatherofgreenbay - I don’t think I ever watched the whole movie through, lol. I think I remember thinking it was terrible, so I turned it off!
@ChainGangSoldier619 - I know. One of my best friends is seriously creeped out by aliens too. You can’t even say the word and she gets pissed! Stich is pretty awesome
@Solemn_Angel - Human experimentation freaks me out.
@Roadlesstaken - Ha I thought he was just a superhero! Now I have to add Batman and the Hulk….
@crazy2love - haha well they are actually both from Earth. Superman is a Kryptonian…okay no more dorkness =P
@Roadlesstaken - It’s okay, lol. I actually just got into comics not that long ago, so I don’t know all that much. I love the Anita Blake series of comics. I have the first 2 hardcover graphic novels. There’s a comic con coming here in Oct. (unfortunately not THE comic con but that’s okay) and I can’t wait to go. There was a really small one a few months back and I got a sweet picture of Batman and the Joker. We’ll see what else I pick up when I go.
Oh my god, did you hear who she slept with?”
If aliens are real, I hope they look like Stitch. With our luck, they’d probably look exactly like those fucked up clown aliens, in which case, I would jump off the highest bridge I could find.
@Nitzchiya - omg I’d probably be right there with you on the bridge!!
Niiiiiice =D I definitely think there are other intelligent lifeforms out there too!
I enjoyed this
I am ambivalent about aliens existing or not but it was cool to ‘walk thru’ Hollywood’s version of them!
@SerenaDante - Sweet =]
@jmallory - Thank you =]
@repressedwriter - Lol when you put it that way (‘walk thru’) it makes me feel like I should have put them in chronological order!
Space, infinity, definately has to be something out there. I just read in a science mag that if you counted all of the stars in a galaxy, counting one star per second, it would take 3000 years to count them all. Something to think about eh?
Nice aliens. I especially like the one from Predator.
@crazy2love - not really….I mean the only wax museum I was ever in was more thematic than chronological so I think you’re good.
Well at least someone believes in aliens.
@dikdoktor - Definitely. I couldn’t even conceive of counting the stars! And thank you =]
@repressedwriter - Well, that’s good, thank you for that, lol.
@LilSweetJew - Yes’m
It blows my mind just thinking about space and infinity!!! Geez, it takes half a year just to send a probe to Mars. Someone has to invent a warp drive soon.
@dikdoktor - I know. Hey, you could do it, then be a billionaire. Just remember me when you get to the top
I’ll be wealthy someday. I hope… =]
@crazy2love - I’d need some good acid to get my brain to function enough to develop a warped drive.
heheheheheheheheheh
Flawless.
@dikdoktor - Hehe =]
@None_May_Have_Her - Thanks =]
I especially like Transformer aliens…well, I do think there’s the real one but we just happen to not see it everyday lol
You gotta believe. We are all aliens in this galaxy of ours.
Love this randomness. I’m rec’cing this. The aliens made me to do it.
@reckless_eagle - HAHAHA that’s awesome. I love it!! =]
I am actually really very scared of aliens. lol! i don’t quite think they exist…but..what if they do. AH. freaky!
mmmmm, i think Will Smith is trying to tell us something.
@TheBigShowAtUD -
omg. lol
@Eternalimplosion - Yeah, one of my friends is scared of them too.
I agree with you completely, it’s kind of hard to believe that Earth is the only planet with life one it. If aliens are out there, I highly doubt they are as we have depicted in movies – although, I have no clue what they would look like! And I highly doubt they are going to come and capture humans, and do tests on us, or try and attack Earth. They are probably living their daily lives, much like we are, wondering if there is life out there, other then themselves.
Dear Crystal,
I want to thank you for dropping by my blog, for leaving a comment, and befriending me, but most of all for subscribing. I’ve been on Xanga since 2004 but for most of 2009, while moving and while undergoing an operation to repair my broken hip prosthesis, I haven’t been blogging much, and have only begun to get out and about, as it were, recently.
I see you have an entry above this, but I always say I don’t blog like most folks. I look for the entries which interest me, and this one looks like you took a lot of time. Nice that you have lots of comments on it, as well.
I sometimes post to my Universal Blog, which details my spiritual thoughts about the Universe. I believe that almost everything we can think about is probably true to a certain extent, and there has to be life somewhere else in the universe other than just on Earth.
Fifth Element is one of my favorite movies. Hooray for the aliens. I too love the operatic “Diva” sequence, Chris Tucker is hilarious, and Bruce Willis, is, well, Bruce Willis.
I was turned on to Rocky Horror by a gay friend of mine back in 1976. We went to see the movie high on LSD. Later on I got the record album and memorized all the songs, so I could go back and join in the fun. (The audience used to ’act out” with the movie and dress up too) I used to be really upset that I went to see the film high and being a natural performer myself, didn’t know the music the first time out.
My favorite alien movies are the original War of the Worlds, from 1953. I saw that film in a drive in in the early 60s as a kid and thought they were really destroying Los Angeles (where I live). Also you forgot “Alien” and it’s many sequels.
Great job. I love little “Stitch” too.
