I’M PISSED!!!!
Damnit.
I just read an article on cnn.com about libraries. Books going to ebooks, I hate it!! I’ve tried reading ebooks before, but I can’t do it. It’s just not the same. I have to have paper in my hands. I break the bindings on paperback. I’m very proud of my book collection. I know the transistion will take time, but that doesn’t make me feel any better. I’m an avid reader, and I own hundreds of books. Damn digital age.

Omg.. so not cool. I read daily and i love my REAL books.
the only thing i can read online are blogs and articles but when it comes to books… i need paper too!

This is sad. I hate to see the day.
You gotta be kidding? There is no way they are going to ebooks! I couldn’t take reading only there. I love the feel of the pages in my hands. Like the words can really be touched, and the smell of a new book. Ugh I will be pissed if it happens.
I’m upset too now. I love books. Paperback especially. I hope they don’t turn into ebooks until I die.

I love the snapping sounds books make when you first open them.
And there’s nothing better than the smell of new books.

@SliverLines - I hate self check out registers…I refuse to use them, the more popular they are, the more they will put into stores, then more people will be put out of work.
@maxxi2031 - I use them only when I’m purchasing 5 or less items and all the other registers are busy. Other than that, I try to avoid them at all costs because that’s like saying robots can do our jobs better so why pay people to work when we can have electronic devices work without a “salary”.

They just spent tons of money revamping the libraries in my town, I’m thinking they aren’t going anyplace anytime soon. I could see them adding ebooks in addition to what they already have…
I agree with you, there’s nothing like cuddly up on the couch breaking in a new book. I’m and avid reader too and so proud of my book collection. I guess the only good thing that comes out of all of this is at least we are saving trees right?
This is what exactly the same thing I have been thinking…ebook is cool idea but it never really replace the actual book!
