  • Rape.

    In a recent blog, TheTheologiansCafe wrote about the new Iranian president okaying rape in the interrogation setting. I commented, saying no, it’s not okay. I think though that this deserves a separate blog, because I have more to say. I read through the comments and was relieved that most vehemently said no, it’s not okay. I still want to say what I have to say.

    First of all, as a victim, I find this line of thinking utterly repulsive. I’ve had the opinion for a long time that anyone who rapes or even molests someone else should be castrated (if the offender is female…I really don’t know about that one). I’m not kidding about this. Most of these offenders are sick in the head, and they will do it again. If they don’t have the proper equipment, it would be pretty difficult to repeat, don’t you think?

    Before women were liberated, they were basically possessions of men. They were told what to do, when to do it, how to do it. If their man wanted sex, he got sex, even if he had to take it by force. A long time ago, it wasn’t uncommon for men to boast about their conquests, or rape victims. Ever since the beginning of time, soldiers raped the women of their enemies. It was an accepted part of society in most circles. As time went on, it got more and more discreet. Now that women are liberated and free will is exercised, rape is no longer socially accepted, and is considered a crime.

    The way that humans think has changed and evolved over time. Our thought processes have changed. We are no longer barbarians living in caves, we are no longer living in medieval times. We are human beings for a reason. We have the ability to think and adapt to our environments. Animals are just as smart, but they lack the capabilities that we have. In this day and age, no one should be raped, no matter the circumstances. It’s damaging in so many ways. Too many ways.

    Anyone who thinks it’s okay to rape someone else in ANY situation is a poor excuse for a human being.

  • As a victim as well.. I don’t know if I would agree about being castrated.  There are other forms of punishment.  I definitely agree with you on this blog. I love it.  Well said!

  • And if a woman commits rape her vaginal passage should be blocked through a powerful ELFY and only a narrow pipe should be passed to pee on, and her boobs removed through surgery:)

  • I’ve never been…but I agree with you.

  • As a rape victim, I dont feel that any other person who is terrogated should be raped. And anyone who does rape a victim should be sentenced to punishment. Not sure what the punishment is but it should always be remembered by the person who does the crime.

  • I’ve never been raped but i have been sexually harrased plenty of times and it’s disgusting that people think they can get away with it……and i agree anyone who thinks it’s ok needs to be dragged into the street and shot…in the gut so they’ll have a slow painful death. We really need to improve the human race by removing idiots like him from the gene pool.

  • The whole idea of interrogation is that you want to find out what the other person knows. Which of course means that they may not know anything at all and you would have traumatized them for absolutely nothing. DISGUSTING. I agreed, anyone who rapes, can not possible be a real human being. But I dont believe in castration. I do believe they should be punished and tortured in the same way, but men with their genitals removed still rape; they use brooms and knives and anything else they want to overpower and degrade their victims.

    Thank you for saying what had to be said.

  • I agree with the castration idea.

  • @fading_roses19 - I hope you are well.

    @Paul_Partisan - @Cookstergirl88 - @godfatherofgreenbay - Thank you.

    @meagan1986 - Thank you for reading. I hope you are well.

    @RelentlessRoseX - Yes, it is most definitely disgusting.

    @The_Aimed_Wanderer - That is true about using other items to rape their victims. Just sick.

  • Today it isn’t so bad.  How are you doing?

  • Well said and I agree! Castration is a good idea, I think.

  • @fading_roses19 - I hate working first shift, lol. Waking up so early in the morning sucks…I can’t wait to go back to second shift!

  • I haven’t gone to bed yet and it’s 7 AM. Pathetic, no?

  • Rape is horrible to victim in sex with a guy who just wants a child, Thats sick and wrong

  • What a painful post. I’m sorry that you were a victim, and I’m glad you choose to speak your mind.

  • @fading_roses19 - That’s okay…I’m naturally a night person, so that wouldn’t seem too bad to me!

    @embrown88 - Yes, it is sick and wrong.

    @NoGraySunflowers - Thank you.

  • I think any form of torture in any situation is idiotic. Unfortunately, a lot of people in the United States disagree, and I think that’s what Dan was really trying to point out – why is nearly killing someone with pain of some other type okay, but rape is wrong?

    In the end, it’s really not.

  • They should be castrated, I absolutely agree.

  • Castration with work/garden tools.  These fuckers deserve it and it sickens me to my core to hear that it’s “accepted” somewhere.  What fucking barbarians.

  • @SerenaDante - I actually agree with you there, I don’t think any torture is right either. The rape part just stuck out in my mind because of my past.

    @Olyachka - Thank you.

  • i think in islam, the punnishment of rape is death…

    i’m not sure which is more severe, castrated or death…   but those who commit such a crime does deserve to be punnished…

  • rape fucks you up in the head, under no circumstances is it ok

  • Except of course we utterly lack the moral standing to be demanding anything at all of Iran, or anybody else. That was once the whole purpose of the Geneva conventions. As wise people have said if we throw them out, that endagers American soldiers everywhere… It kind of goes both ways.

  • I have long believed that castration is the only just punishment for a sexual offender.

  • @haloed - Agreed.

    @Smichy420 - Very true.

  • @RogierFvV - I don’t know much about politics…didn’t the Geneva Convention have something to do with crimes against humanity as well? Or was that something else? I don’t know.

    @ImpOfDisparagement - Yep, I agree.

  • I agree with you, it’s wrong and shouldn’t be used.  SeranaDante makes a good point, there is no reason, ever to torture another human being.

  • @PeaceSearcher - You don’t pee through your vagina.

  • I say that punishment is anyone’s best idea yet. CUT EM ALL OFF!!! Anyone who even tries it! Great post :)

  • @crazy2love - It’s about mutually guaranteeing the humane treatment of POWs. There’s a tendency for the tough kid on the block to think it pertains to everybody else except them, forgetting that nobody stays the top banana for too long… so the legal beagles of the previous administration found ways around it by means of “enemy combatants” which are somehow not POWs, hence the torture scandals. Nobody paid attention that it also meant open season on American soldiers. Well… John McCain did, he was a POW, so he knows. Nevertheless, nobody paid attention it seems.

  • I agree too. But I keep wondering what makes rape any worse than waterboarding or prolonged isolation? That shit fucks up your mind too.

  • @Erika_Steele - I agree.

    @marniew13 - Thank you.

    @RogierFvV - Ahhh okay, now I remember hearing about that on the news a while back.

    @wikipediot - I don’t know. There’s a lot of things that fuck up your head. Harsher punishments are definitely needed for these crimes.

  • I am shocked how many victims are out there :x is our society mentally sick?

  • @SerenaDante -

    That’s basically what I said when I commented on Dan’s post. Glad to see I wasn’t the only one there who was thinking that. ^_^

  • being a victim myself, i know exactly how you feel. Anyone who could even THINK raping someone is humane in ANY case… should be lined against a wall and shot. I’m sorry but if someone had this happen to them, they would know exactly how traumatic and life changing it is. Its something that haunts you till the day you die. There is no putting it behind you or pretending it didnt happen. its nothing like getting a broken arm thats fixed over time. You cant “fix” someone whos been raped…

  • Nicely written. I wish all people thought like that.

  • This has nothing to do with your post… I just wanted to say that I love your site.. colors, pics etc.  I love your hair too.. I used to have my hair like that.  Anyway.. props for presentation!

  • @oulck - To be completely honest, I’m not really shocked at all. As I’ve opened up more and more about my experience, I’ve heard more and more people say “Yeah, me too.” It’s more common than people think it is. It’s not really talked about, that’s why. It’s a deeply personal issue to go through, so it’s usually only shared with close friends and family, if at all. I’m guessing that some people commented but didn’t say they were a victim, and still more read this post and didn’t comment at all. It’s a sad thing.

    @MagicallyDelici0uz - No, it most definitely can’t be fixed. You still can’t sleep at night, you jump at noises, you’re hyper-aware of other presences, you’re easily scared, you can’t or don’t trust, it’s too hard to have relationships because sex is almost always going to be an issue. I myself have avoided serious relationships for that very reason. I hope you are well.

    @dawsonbroader - Thank you.

    @calytex - Lol thanks! My hair isn’t actually pink anymore, it hasn’t been that way since March. Right now it’s red (the more natural red…it looks like rubies in the sun :)

  • @BunnyParfait - Darling i pee through my Mr. Penis The king of vagina:)

  • I fully agree with you. Many of those rapists and molesters commit the same crimes again since they have no self control.

     Rape is not okay and it should never be okay.

  • @PeaceSearcher - Lovely o_x

  • i appreciate you speaking your mind.  i agree with what you’ve said.  rape is wrong…i pray i never have to go thru it and i’m sorry that you did go thru it, hun.
