Normal is a matter of perspective. One person’s sense of normalcy may be abnormal to someone else. No person grew up the same, even if they were in the same household. A lot of kids struggle with things that their siblings or family will never understand, even though they see what’s going on.

Talk about yours. There is nothing wrong with having a different experience.
I really dislike it when people don’t understand how talking about the past can make someone uncomfortable. This might make you smile; my friends and I talk about how abnormal our childhoods were. We take the oddest things from the past and talk about those times.
