What the hell IS this?! (photos :)
All winter long, the weather has been abnormal. There’s been hardly any snow at all. Whenever it snows, it gets warm and melts. And we haven’t even had any winter storms at all. Well, not in central Minnesota, at least. Tomorrow, we are supposed to get 1-2″. That will melt in no time, haha. The winter activities industries must be suffering. I don’t think it’s been safe to ice fish on most lakes. Not to mention snowmobiles.
Anyway, this is what it looks like:
Ugly!! Plus, I’m sure the fire hazards are going to be pretty bad once it gets warmer. There’s been hardly any moisture. Anyway, Friday we went to the zoo, and I took tons of pictures. I’ll have to post them in stages, lol. I’ll start with the pretty flowers
When we first went into the different plant areas, the humidity made my camera lens fog until it got used to the air. I hoped it wouldn’t effect my photos, but it did. However, I like the effect

LOVE the flowers
It was 55-60 degrees in Maryland yesterday… in February. Insane.
I would hate to work in the snowmobile industry right about now
Wow beautiful photos!
OOoo! I love the Como Conservatory! I’d take more pictures when I’m there but the kiddos always drag me around
It hasn’t been snowing all that much here either. I just like to think of it as two things: 1) a sort of make up for the large ass amount of snow we got last year or 2) considering Boston’s odd weather a chance for it to start snowing in, say, March through April? The real winter weather always comes a couple of months late here in Massachusetts. It’s february, and it still feels like Spring just came early or Fall never really left. Just one small patch of snow and that was it.
Hi from Chicago. We have averaged probably 35 to 40 every day. What’s up with that? I know I shouldn’t complain. I do not miss slipping, sliding and slogging through lots of snow.
The flower pictures 4-6 are beautiful! Well they all are, but those are my favorites.
wow.. beautiful pics!!!
Wowza. Those are some awesome flowers! In cleveland, of course its been weirdly warm but living so close to the lake we’ve gotten 2 good snows.
nice photos.
i worry about this weather. no rain=bad news for us in the summer espec. for the farmers. :/
Beautiful pics! Though fire is always a worry, it’s kind of nice to not have snow, don’t you think?
I guess it has been a warm winter all around. We’ve had some days in the 80s this winter + we had tornadoes in the winter time.
The flowers are beautiful, but my eyes are itching just thinking about them.
Wisconsin is the same way, I think we’ve had maybe 5 inches total this entire window. Which you probably know is nothing. I blame it on the fact that I finally bought a snow blower.
