I Don’t Believe Anybody
So obviously, I’ve had a tough life growing up. I have trust issues. I don’t trust anybody, and that spills over into other aspects of my life. Not only do I not trust people with personal things, but I don’t trust politicians.
I hate politics. I despise politicians. I don’t get into politics. Someone at work always says, “I don’t understand that, because it affects your every day life.” Yes, that’s true, it does. But I don’t believe what any politician says. I think that they are all corrupt and dirty. “Well choose the lesser of the two evils.” Yeah, and in my opinion, there is no such thing.
I hate following politics because for one thing, everything is so convoluted. There’s too much that everyone says about everything to keep up with. Person A says something, person B counters, then person A, B, A, B…. and it seems like it never ends. Then they go off in tangents. Really? Then they use words that I don’t understand and phrases that are far too complicated. I read a sentence then have to check the dictionary for the meaning of every other word, read it 20 times, in varying speeds each time, re-read it, think about it, and finally understand what that one sentence is saying half an hour later. I’m not a moron, but the way these people speak is sometimes far too complicated. Can’t you use normal words to say what you’re saying?
Sometimes I try to follow it, but like I said, it’s far too convoluted to follow. Anyway, I don’t believe what any of these people say. So that’s what I told Cody today… the part about not believing people about politics. Because someone could tell me one fact, then someone else tells me another fact and I don’t know what to think. Or someone asks me a question and I say what I think, then someone else asks me a question that makes me question what I thought in the first place. It’s too much of a mind game.
So he said that I believe in things that have no substance… nothing to back it up and no facts. I said, yeah, I guess that’s accurate. He then said that I defend anyone and anything, as long as it’s humanitarian. Well, I guess. I can’t help that I’m a compassionate person that thinks about others.
Whatever. I’m taking a nap because my eyes are tired. I think I’m getting sick.

ALright. And as Xanga will have you, you aren’t the only one who doesn’t trust politicians, I’m sure.
That’s the general feeling towards politicians , but really, you can’t like research and figure out how you feel about it? I know exactly how I feel about it and I know that we shouldn’t be blocking others from making their own decisions. How can you just totally ignore politics?
IT is the lesser of 2 evils indeeed with poltice as far as i’m concerned as well
i feel ya. i cant stand politics. anything of the sort.
ive been feeling like maybe i’m getting sick too. ugh. not cool.
i hope you have a good nap and start feeling better! =]
I have trust issues here and there in my personal life, and as for the politics and politicians, I feel the same. I once heard this quote and couldnt refuse it, it made too much sense:
Politics= (Poli – Tics)
Poli= Many Tics= Blood sucking paracites
I used to feel that way.
I recommend you watch the daily show and the colbert report. They’re both political talk shows created for every day people, and not only are they easy to understand, but they’re funny too. They’re also both liberal, so I don’t know how you feel about that.
We can’t all be well versed in everything but at least you don’t act like you know things you don’t. I don’t know much about politics either but I do follow house bills that affect my way of life and what gets enacted into law. I vote and that has gotten me called to jury duty a few times…lol. Thanks guys. Just doing my civic duty. btw crazy2love, you just need to get your feet wet a little because of the women who came before us and fought for women’s rights. Just my pov cuz i think you must be interested a little bit to even write this post.
I completely agree girl! Politics is nothing but bullshit. Yeah, it affects our everyday lives but if you think about it.. there’s no point in stressing over something you can’t change. So why give a shit because no matter what, politicians are going to be lying, deceiving, conniving assholes. And I would rather be a compassionate humanitarian than a dirty politician any day!!
yep so true…most people want you to have an opinion on something, but the problem is, if you want a substantiated opinion, its very hard to build one. Even the politicians themselves don’t know everything that doesn’t fall into their resort, so they have to trust the other members of their party to a certain level. (well thats what they do at least). …and if ou genrelally don’t trust in what you are told so easily (which when it comes to politics is totally understandable ) is very hard…sleep well
