  • God

Sometimes I wonder what the point is. The point of life, that is. Not really in a depressed way, but more in a philosophical way.

What are we doing here? Is each life alone, or are we all connected? Is it fate, or choice? Is there a purpose for everyone? Or are we all stumbling around with no clue? When this life ends, where does it go from there? Does every life touch another?

What force keeps us here? As human beings, I mean. As a life force.

I am not a Christian. I think that the religion answers those questions because humans need the answers to those questions to survive, because we are ones who have a fear of the unknown. I think it’s a way to control people.

I do, however, believe in a higher power. I think “God” is just giving a name to something cosmic that is impossible to name. I think that cosmic power is in every one of us, in everything living. When you think about it, life in any form is amazing. The mechanics that drive us, the complexities that are required to make us alive is amazing. The fact that we have created this world with what we have is mind boggling.

I do believe in the divine, and I don’t think it’s in a book that was written by human hand. I think it’s everywhere you see and hear and touch and smell. I think it’s all around us, and something that is simply too hard to capture using stories.

I believe that God and Goddess are two halves of one whole, and I believe that all the Gods and Goddesses are different aspects of that God and Goddess. I think that it’s a way to connect to the divine in a way that uses human words because that is what we know.

I believe in reincarnation. Energy cannot be destroyed, nor created. It’s energy that drives life.

I think that we are all connected, and that every life touches another. Whether or not it’s by fate or choice, I am still unsure.

  • Hm. I have different beliefs, but I can definitely see where you’re coming from and why you ask yourself those questions.

  • interesting thoughts.  hope to read an expansion sometime.

  • I think that the religion answers those questions because humans need the answers to those questions to survive

And maybe it answers them because it’s true.

  • well i am happy to see you are ready to ask these questions. also i am happy that you didn’t ask the community about god because that would have left you with your head spinning. you are god’s daughter. you are asking these questions mainly to yourself. and the one who needs to hear you is listening.

  • I really can’t be sure of anything that anybody says on this subject. It is kinda mind boggling. Even though I can see your point and their point~which I think confuses me the most, how I can see the point each makes. Heh.

  • You basically have a good handle on the nature of divinity.  We creatures have no way of knowing the exact nature of the Creative Force.

It’s also true that matter and energy are intertwined.  This explains “Past Lives” and spirit conversations, among other things.

  • I agree with every single thing you’ve said, which is rare concerning God to agree with anyone. =)

  • Well written and an excellent expression of your understanding.

  • we all struggle at times with “life” tryin to figure things out. thats went i have to have faith in wat i do.

  • “I think that we are all connected, and that every life touches another. Whether or not it’s by fate or choice, I am still unsure.”

    what a great post!

  • Sounds like we share similar beliefs. I definitely believe there is a force out there ‘bigger’ than us – it could be Mother Nature and that would make perfect sense to me! I enjoyed reading your post.
