  • I’m Not Your Xanga Friend ANYMORE!!!!!

I think this is ridiculous. I mean, really?

If you unfriend me because I don’t visit your blog, I think that’s pretty childish. Are you feeling neglected? Well, awwww.

Let me tell you something…I’m not around much anymore!! I, am BUSY. I work a lot of hours. I work 10 hours a day, every day, then I work out for an hour after work. Then I go home and relax for a few hours before I go to bed. I watch a movie or play a video game, or read a book.

Do you think I like neglecting Xanga and my fellow Xangans? NO!! What I see in my inbox when I’m online, that’s what I read. If you’re not there, sorry! I don’t take the time to go out of my way to read anyone, NOT EVEN MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BLOGGERS.

I’m sorry I don’t have time to stroke your big ego, but if I wouldn’t be your Xanga friend if I didn’t enjoy reading your posts when I see them.

*Unfortunately, this happens to me quite frequently =[

  • Someone defriended you for that? I’d be in so much trouble.

  • LOL…I love people that are so butthurt when somebody doesn’t visit their blog.  They make me laugh.

  • People make way too big of a deal out of Xanga. o_O

  • I can’t wrap my head around that line of thinking: “You don’t visit so I’m not your friend”. I subscribe to the thought that this isn’t what life is about…xanga is just a hobby. Any attention gained is cool, but it shouldn’t be the sole reason for ‘friending’ someone or not.

    People amuse and confuse me.

Anyhoo, how does work go? How is life in general. By virtue of you not kicking around here as much, I can only assume things are reasonable :)

I hope they are, at least.

    Cheers!

  • I unfriend people when I get tired of them cluttering my inbox with stuff I don’t want to read. It’s nothing personal. I’m sure I’d probably like them irl, but I’m a little heartless with people’s online personas. :p

  • Visit whenever ya can.  I can’t visit people’s sites every day, either.

  • that is  pretty retarded if u ask me.

  • Some people dont understand you actually have real life that requires attention….and it happens to be more important than Xanga life.

  • LOL people are lame. On a serious note, we have missed you around here. Hurry up and strike oil so you can come back.

  • what is it with these “kitties” on Xanga who just gotta be “stroked” … maybe they should “get a life” …

  • i tend to defriend some xangans who i just talk to anymore or ever talked to. it is like spring cleaning.

  • Lol…that’s a little hypersensitive of them, imo.

That’s why it is a real plus if you are here to write for yourself -your feelings don’t get as hurt if no one comes to read all about everything little thing you do/say!

  • LOL!  E-Beefs!  If you are e-beefin’ with someone then you really have some issues.

  • Xanga is ridiculous.

  • Hahahahhaha What a child-like reaction! You’re better off!

  • I have sort of been busy myself.

  • I have to agree, people that do that are childish!!! Great post gets my rec’d!

  • I admit I am guilty if I have not seen some one in a year and they have only posted once or twice yep I might do some house keeping….guess I am childlish

  • I deleted some people that haven’t been active for years yesterday. But defriending them for a lame reason never!

  • Every so often I’ll delete someone who I really feel no attachment to, or who just writes the same bullshit over and over that I’ve grown tired of.  I don’t like a cluttered inbox.  But to delete someone just because they don’t visit my site?  That’s just insane.

I wonder if they apply that mindset to their real life friends.  ”You never visit me, so I don’t want to be friends anymore!”  I don’t imagine that would go over very well.

  • they need to get a life. how sophomoric.

  • I know that feeling- Mostly I am playing sims – and just hanging out here! Reading sometimes I like to think.

  • I’m sorry!! *hugs* It’s okay, I’LL never unfriend you! ♥

  • The only reason I ever delete someone is when they become inactive for a couple of months completely and I don’t know why or something comes between the two of us and cannot repair it. Otherwise I keep the person. =) I couldn’t delete you and I totally understand the busy life. It is happening to me, which is why I haven’t been on myself, sadly. Hope all is well for you.

  • I am thankful people have stuck by me since I haven’t been around since Christmas…I miss Xanga.

  • Haha, I never defriend anyone. Unless they’re creepers…

  • LAME. As other people said, the only people I unfriend are those who have posts that won’t interest me or I haven’t seen active on Xanga for several months. If I only kept friends that regularly visited my site, I’d probably have less than 10 friends lol

  • yes! i hate it when you neglect me!!! *cries* haha.

    <3
but i didn’t unfriend you. so we’re still good right? =P

  • I tried to go through my friends to get rid of the people I don’t read or who are perma gone from xanga.  I got annoyed after deleting 40 people or so, so I let it go.  ♥

  • Wow I hate it when that happens (happened twice to me)

  • You crack me up. Keep it up sista. Thanks for the good read

  • big grats for having a real life too, hun

  • I only subscribe to sites that I actually want to see in my universal inbox. I’m even pickier about picking my friends. I don’t add just anybody who feels like adding me, nor do I make a friend request and a subscription the same thing. I usually only defriend people if they haven’t been on in a very long time.

  • It’s ok if you can’t read my stuff.  I don’t need my ego stroked today… Maybe tomorrow.  :0)

  • I only defriended one person just because I didn’t like the way the blog was going, didn’t agree with his views on a few things.

    All-in-all, it’s just xanga.

  • Who cares. It’s even more lame when people get butthurt ’cause they get defriended.

  • Don’t feel bad. I’ve had people unfriend me for not commenting on their blogs much or for timestamping. I’ve even had some that I comment and rec their posts a lot unfriend me. It does get a bit annoying, especially if you don’t delete anyone from your friends list.

  • Here, here! I’m with you girl! do what you have to do. Blog when you can, and if anyone can’t handle that, then maybe they should get a life! Go get ‘em!

  • it’s happening to me lately, too.  eh.

  • That’s ridiculous! Some people take Xanga too seriously.T___T

  • yes.i just dont undersatnd some people.P

  • I instinctively acted out the title of this blog when I read it, and it sounded hilarious. ANYMORE!!! >:(

But, yeah, I agree, getting butthurt over the usage of Xanga features is pretty dumb.

  • I don’t read those blogs that insult my intelligence. I mean, seriously, if someone writes a blog that shouts : “Does Bra size matters?”

    Duh…. dumb question.

I’d ignored it totally….next!  If the next one writes : “Obama is lame… rant rant rant..” I thought : Who the hell cares about your President? We have a monarch here.

Most people write stuffs that other Xangans couldn’t relate to or won’t even make an effort to comment critically and intelligently. They skip blogs and ignored the others who badly need viewerships — intellectuals like members of The Socrates Cafe blogring.

It’s not about being busy or selective, it’s about using your mind to read a blog for what it’s worth, not who wrote it. If you can give time to read the proper blogs, your time won’t be wasted.

  •  Crazy!! I also stay so busy with school and kids and xanga comes last. Hope ya get some rest soon.

  • Im kinda new on here but I wasnt aware of a “xanga breakup”. Guess thats something to look forward to.

  • Yeah, it’s stupid. Don’t worry about people like that.
