She Left Perfume On My Desk
I love Kat Von D, I think she’s one of the sexiest women alive.
Anyway, she has this totally awesome book out about her personal history, her history with tattooing, and some other stuff. I have it standing up on the top shelf on my desk at work.
The other day (it must have been Tuesday) that my boss’s boss commented on how she had been reading my book, and we started talking about Kat’s new perfume line. She said there was 2 perfumes, Sinner and Saint. For the ad, they put makeup on Kat’s body so it looked like she had no tattoos for the Saint. I said that was interesting.
The next day I walked in and there was a little black box on my desk. I was like, what the hell? I opened it, and inside was a sample bottle of Sinner, by Kat Von D. She later wrote me an email, saying that she had gone to her favorite store, Sophora, and gotten it for me because she knew I was a fan of Kat’s.
I wish the world had more nice people like my boss’s boss in it.

that was nice of her.
I’m straight and I think she is hot. Your boss sounds awesome!
Even straight people think Kat Von D is hot
That is so nice
Sweeeet!
Dear Crystal,
I’m not familiar with the woman, but she sure is HAWT. I love a properly illustrated lady.
Occasionally I’ll stop returning comments long enough to go through my “friends” list and visit those who “befriended” me but who are not regular readers of my blog for some reason or another. Today I dropped by here to read a few entries. I can’t really comment on Kat Von D as I say, cause I don’t know who she is. (Well, that’s not true, I’m on the internet, and have a ready wikipeida link on my sidebar.)
But what I really want to comment about are your entries below about paying the rent, and then having your housemate use the rent money for drugs.
I’m an old man now, but I was a young man during the 70s and early 80s, before AIDS, when sex, drugs and rock and roll meant something. I took a vast amount of drugs, and smoked lots of meth, dropped lots of acid, and smoked enough cocaine that it’s a wonder I’m still alive. (I don’t condone drug use in any way.) I had a roommate who was also my supplier, back in around 1983 or 84. He was gay, and always had his “beach bunnies’ over to the house for drug parties. I’m hetero, but I would enjoy the company and the drugs.
Cecil would always ask for my half of the rent about two weeks early, and he spent it on drugs. Before he moved out, he sold his car, and most of his possessions. (I had a lock on my bedrroom door, so his beach bunnies wouldn’t come into my bedroom by mistake.) When he disappeared (and later died of AIDS, poor guy) I went to the landlady to settle up, and was socked with three months back rent. We lived three blocks from the ocean in Hermosa (Southern California) where rents were expensive enough as it was!
Another supposed friend (and dealer) would take my money for meth and then it would take me weeks to get my stash. He would use the money for his own stash, and then when he got “extra” he’d drop by and let me have my portion, which was always “short”. The guy ended up stealing money from both me and his best friend (who was my roommate at the time)
Some people can manage their drug intake. But most people can’t. If you haven’t made plans to exit the situation in which you are in, you might come home some day to find your possessions stolen and used for drug money.
(This isn’t meant to diss your friend in any way. I’m merely commenting upon what I read in your entry. I don’t “know” you well enough to pass any judgement on your choices, and then, I don’t like to pass judgement anyway)
Just sayin’.

I agree. She’s a sexpot. That was really sweet of your bosses boss to get you the perfume. ♥
Kat Von D is definitely one of the sexiest women on the face of this planet. I’ve always thought so, and what a kick ass tattoo artist!
I’m ecstatic I discovered your website and blogs.
