No Fireworks
I just read a lot of cities are not going to be setting fireworks off for the 4th of July. My city (for some weird reason) sets off the fireworks on the 3rd, so I already saw the fireworks here. I did notice that, although the fireworks lasted the same amount of time, they set them off further apart and not as many as they usually do.
But wouldn’t you think that even though the economy is bad, wouldn’t setting off fireworks like normal help the economy? I mean, the fireworks need to be made, shipped, and everything else. That’s helping stimulate some jobs, right? Instead, the firework makers are probably laying people off. Well, whatever.
I’m also going up to Duluth tomorrow to see their fireworks. I love the fireworks in Duluth, they’re awesome. I might post a video when I get home.
Is your city foregoing fireworks because of the economy?

I hate fireworks. I like watching them on TV, but that’s about it. xD
i like fireworks and yeah my little town did let them fly through the sky, i mean yeah they are beautiful, and i do enjoy them. But right now it’s midnight and i got some idiot near my house putting them off and people are trying to sleep. So yes i like fireworks, but i don’t enjoy idiots with fireworks, but i think you prove a good point about the economy i would have never actually thought of it like that. And yeah i think it is unethical to just stop fireworks, i mean it is something people look forward to, so there is no need for change.
I LOVE fireworks! But we don’t celebrate the 4th of july
